Ensuring our port is sustainable for the future.
With decades of experience in marine business, community leadership, and a deep connection to Anacortes, I’m committed to transparent governance, protecting local boaters, and securing a sustainable future for our port.

A Lifelong Commitment to Anacortes, Its Port, and Our Community’s Future. This position is in my wheelhouse!
The Port of Anacortes has been a meaningful part of my life for decades—first as a child cruising into town by boat, then as a long-time marina tenant since 1987 and full-time resident since 2013. What sets me apart from the other candidates, I have worked with the port for decades. I have served on the marina advisory committee for over 10 years and will be able to start working on day 1 with knowledge of how our port functions. I have experience as a commercial property landlord, and vast connections to help our deep-water port gain new clients. With 40 years of experience as a marine insurance specialist, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting our marine trades, championing local economic development, and advocating for thoughtful, transparent leadership. From helping to coordinate a relationship with the Northwest Marine Trades Association & Chamber of Commerce to bring the Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show to Cap Sante Marina. I am a 13 year member of the Anacortes Marine Trades. I have worked hard to strengthen our port and protect the livelihoods it supports. I get things done. I’m running for Port Commissioner because I believe we can do better—by listening to the community, investing in critical infrastructure like the north end of the marina, our airport and ensuring our local boaters and taxpayers are not left behind. I humbly ask for your vote.
